I Know The Lord Is Always With Me. I Will Not Be Shaken. For He is Right Beside Me. -Psalm 16_8 NLT-2

Every individual has struggled with something in their life. Whatever you are going through, you may feel like giving up and tend to find yourself mad at God for your problems. I know you don’t understand why He is doing that to you. You may even feel like you will never be fully out of this situation you are in. I have been there too.

I am a firm believer of when we go through something that completely breaks us, God is doing that for a reason even though you don’t know His reason just yet. He is making you stronger and you will see that at the end of everything.

For instance, back in March, God did something to my life that changed it forever. What I went through, was such a scary aspect of my life and it took a long time to accept what had happened. My emotions were everywhere and I didn’t understand why God let that horrible situation happen to me. (In case you missed it, you can read about How the Outlook on Life Changed Everything For Me) I talk more in depth about what I went through and how it changed the way I view life.

Believe it or not, I am finally seeing all of God’s reasons on why I had to go through many, many obstacles. I love the way my life is right now and I know it’s all because of Him.

Everything about the Bible Verse above is true. No matter what you are going through, God is always by your side. Psalm 16:8 says, “I know The Lord is always with me. I will never be shaken. For He is right beside me.” That is such a powerful Scripture!

He is saying, “do not be afraid, My Child, I am with you through everything.” Doesn’t it feel comforting to know that He is always with you especially when you are going through a difficult situation? I know it is for me! God will never let you go.

When You have a Challenging Time Trusting IN jESUS

Some of you may feel like it is difficult to truly trust Jesus especially when God and Him are placing you in these situations. I completely understand. I want to tell you that you are not alone and things will be better for you in no time. Here are some ways I have found that helps when He challenges you to trust Him.

1. Start a Prayer Journal

I have recently started writing in a journal and making a list of all of my prayers for the end of each month. I call it my “Prayer Journal.” It has been beneficial to me since I love looking back at all of my prayers from the past and seeing which ones Jesus answered for me! I encourage you to start your own Prayer Journal and you will start to notice your trust in Him has increased.

2. Listen to Christian Music

I don’t know about you, but Christian music has helped my faith tremendously and it always puts me in a better mood. There are several songs that are my favorites (You can view My All-Time Favorite Worship Songs and Why blog post). Some of the songs don’t even sound like they are supposed to be a Christian Contemporary song and it is more like your typical pop song! Christain music never fails to help me with whatever I am going through and I trust in God more than anything now because of it. You will never know what Christian music is like until you start listening to it yourself. It may even help you trust God more with your troubles.

3. Have Your Very Own Coloring Bible

This “My Creative Bible” has definitely helped me cope with anxiety and made me put all of my trust in Jesus. I love coloring especially since I cannot draw to save my life! Honestly, being artistic has never been one of the talents I have. With that being said, owning a Bible that you can also color in it, has changed my life.

The prayer journal, Christian music, and the My Creative Bible are what has helped me trust Jesus even more with my life. I hope these three suggestions have been beneficial to you.

When you find the time, please listen to “Even Then” by Micah Tyler. This song won’t disappoint because it will put you in a better mood!

“Even when it feels like my world is shaken. Even when I’ve had all that I can take. I know, You never let me go. And even when the waters won’t stop rising. Even when I’m caught in the dead of night. I know, no matter how it ends, You’re with me even then.” ~Micah Tyler

When you learn how to trust in Jesus, your life is going to change for the better. Run to Jesus; He will take care of you. Remember: He will always be with you.
