If you tend to have a difficult time forgiving people after they have hurt you, then this post is for you!
I know we all have that one person in mind who have either hated, used, despised, neglected, disrespected, and mocked us. What do you do when you are in that situation? Do you try to get revenge later on? Whatever you do, DON’T do that! You will see why later on in this post.

You Shouldn’t Hold A Grudge
When someone has hurt you really deep, it is so hard to forget what they have done to you. Am I right? Do you always remember what this person has done to you? Does it impact the relationship you have with them? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, you need to teach yourself how to let things go. It isn’t ok for you to hold a grudge on that individual for so long. I know they have hurt you to the point it’s difficult for you to forgive them for what they have done.
Turn The Other Cheek
When I was in high school, there were many times where I was bullied and of course I had enemies. Honestly, I got picked on for my Faith and they probably saw me as a “Jesus Freak.” I never once was ashamed for who I was and still am. But, do you know what I did? I prayed for them and turned the other cheek. My Mom was the one who taught me to do that! It was difficult for me to do at the time, but I eventually forgave everything that had happened in my high school years.
It’s Not Your Fault
I am telling you this because I challenge you to pray for whoever has hurt you and just turn the other cheek. Trust me, it will help you so much in the long run when you do this! I believe prayers are so powerful and maybe the individual who hurt you has been going through something that you have no idea about, so that is probably why they lashed out on you.
Let It All Go
When you hold everything in, it can have a toll on your well-being and may even cause you to stress out. It is bad for your health when you don’t let it all go. Your body is more important when it comes to dealing with other people’s actions. If you haven’t already, you need to focus on yourself and how you treat others instead of worrying about what other people are doing. Honestly, I need to work on this as well. When you let everything go and forgive the individual, your inner-self will be happy.
God Forgave You
In the end, God wants us to forgive those who have hurt us because He forgave all of us for our sins. Even if the person isn’t sorry for what they have done, you should still forgive them. You shouldn’t worry about getting the person back for what they have done to you because that is God’s job. Be the bigger person! One day, their true colors will show. Don’t let this person bring you down, God is testing you.
I hope this has helped or even inspired you to forgive the ones who have hurt you, even when they don’t deserve it. Let Go, Let God!

When you find the time, please listen to “Forgiveness” by Matthew West.
“Help me now to do the impossible. Forgiveness. It’ll clear my bitterness away. It can even set a prisoner free. There is no end to what its power can do. So let it go and be amazed by what you see through eyes of grace. The prisoner that it really frees is you.” -Matthew West

If you haven’t seen it already, I am giving away a signed copy of my book, Kylie’s Corner, along with a bookmark I have designed! You have until today to enter. It’s not easy, but when we look at ourselves and what we’ve done to Jesus and His willingness to forgive and love us, we get an idea of what we’re to do.
