First things first, 2018, you won’t be missed! This quote definitely sums up what 2018 taught me and I’m so thankful. Although this year has probably been the most challenging of them all, God has blessed me tremendously! Looking back on everything that happened this year, I have grown so much from all of the trials God put in my way. Honestly, my mindset was different at the beginning of this year compared to the end of 2018. Because of everything I went through this year, I thank God for giving me another day. Here are some milestones that happened in my life this year:
-I became a Catechist for Kindergarten during the 2017-2018 school year. I miss every bit of it, especially seeing my students every Wednesday!
– I officially started the publishing process of Kylie’s Corner at the beginning of 2018 (I knew that 2018 would be my year!)
-I turned 20 on January 26, 2018. I am blessed to see my twenties!
-My Mom got engaged on February 14, 2018. Seeing her happy again makes me happy because she deserves to find her “Prince.” She has definitely found hers!
– On March 7, 2018, I got in a car accident with my new Honda Civic that wasn’t even a year old yet. I am still so blessed to say that I walked away with no scratches on my body and I’m still alive today! I’m thankful that God saved me and gave me another chance. This situation taught me a lot in 2018 and I’m forever grateful for that.
-On April 9, 2018, I received a letter saying that I got accepted to the University I go to now.
-On April 14, 2018, we found a car for me to drive back and forth from college, even though it was scary getting behind the wheel again. God guided me every step of the way.
-My sister and cousin both graduated from High School.
-I volunteered to help out with Vacation Catholic School at my church in June and I loved every bit of it!
– On July 2, 2018, I decided to start a blog and it was an overnight decision. I’m so thankful I listened to God!
– My family lost three of our sweet loved ones in June and September. It felt like it was back to back. It has definitely been a year for my family.
-My grandparents went to help me find all of my classes for me on Campus. It was special to me because it was their very first time on Campus!
-In September, I announced the launch of my Book, Kylie’s Corner on this blog and I will cherish that memory forever.
– On September 29, I gave a speech at all three Masses at my church and did a book signing afterward. That is another huge milestone for me!
-Lastly, I became friends with three sweet girls that were in one of my classes during this Fall Semester!
Wow, that is such a long list! You can tell that 2018 has changed me forever by all of these milestones that had happened in my life just from this year. I want to thank 2018 for that.
Thank you, 2018 for teaching me to live in the moment.
