So starting now, I will be using y’alls Bible Verses from the Bible Verse Tag post for Kylie’s Corner each week! I thought this would be something different and fun to do to change it up a bit!

I actually needed this Bible Verse more than I thought and I can relate to this in my own life.

Luke 22:42 says, ” Not My Will, But Yours Be Done.”

It makes me think that it is really saying, “I can’t change the situation or protect people who don’t want to change for the better, it’s not for me to worry about. God knows what He is doing and I fully trust in Him, His Will Be Done.”

Do you think that too where it’s really out of our control and we have to let God step in and finish what He has started? This is honestly hard for me to do at times and God has given lesson after lesson, all of them hit me like a ton of bricks! I’m slowly realizing that there are things that are totally out of my control, even though I wish I could make it better and change things, but we don’t have the power to do so. Have you ever experienced that before where you know someone is hurting and you do everything you can to help “save” them, but then they don’t want your help??

I’m that person who is always, always looking out for people and I care so much that I would rather take the fall for someone even if it means that they won’t be hurt anymore. I would rather try to change the situation or try to fix it, but sometimes people don’t want my help at all. They don’t want to hear what I have to say. That’s ok because I have learned that you can’t magically change a person for the better, they are going to have to want to change. You can’t force them to!

Let’s be real, there are things that we can’t control: Other people’s actions, the way they treat you, and the choices they decide to make. I know, it hurts to realize that there are things that are totally out of our control and we have to trust God’s judgment – He will lead us out of whatever it may be.

If I can give you advice, this is what I would say: Focus on you and only you because you’re the only one who can make yourself happy! Don’t focus on what that other person is doing because by doing that, it will only make you miserable. That’s another lesson God has been teaching me. I need to start letting go and let God. In the end, He will always be in control and I truly believe He has a much better life for me. God is the only one who knows what I have been going through and I surrender all of it as His feet. I’m going to take a step back and let His Will Be Done.

When you find the time, please listen to “Give It All” by Blanca.

“Nothing can hold me back. It’s all in Your control. Nothing can hold me down, I’m letting go. I’mma give You all my troubles. I’mma give you all my worries. All my fearing, all my struggles. I’mma give You all my failures. I know only You can solve them.”

I hope everyone is having a Happy Friday!! I will see y’all again next Wednesday, I will be revealing what I did that helped me so much to recover emotionally from the car accident… Be ready for it at 3PM CST on April 17!

“Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.”

      1. We have to be careful, it kind of goes along with my It’s Not You post, but all we’re to do is be obedient and give what’s given to us from the Lord. They’ll either accept it or not. We continue to pray and remember them, but I think we often hurt the situation trying to help it. The Lord May use us to plant the seed and afterwards He’ll water and give the increase. We sometimes try to do what His job… and that hurts the people and us. Hope this makes sense..

  2. Amen! God you knew I needed to read this. I have been battling with that for a while. Thinking I can change the people I care about around me. I was really miserable & down about it. But then I had to take the backseat and let the Driver drive. He’s in control of everything. Not me. Let His will be done in every area of our life’s that belongs to him in Jesus name. Blessings, grace & peace to you. I have been lifted by this. God bless. 🙂
