So God has been teaching me something once again and I want to share it with all of you because someone out there may have experienced this also.

I have learned that the more and more people you reach on social media, people that you don’t even know always have something mean to say.

This is such a difficult one for me because my Pinterest has been growing so much to the point that I’m almost at 1,000 followers AND 1.1 million monthly viewers. This happened way too fast and I thank God for it, but sometimes I wish it didn’t come with people who always have something negative to say; I can’t prevent that from happening. There will be people who absolutely adore you and then there will be people who don’t like you so much and that’s okay because not everyone is going to love you.

You shouldn’t have to over explain yourself to someone.

This is another thing I am currently learning just from being on Pinterest! It is imposible to explain to someone your perpective of something, especially when they don’t see what you see. It’s okay to leave those mean comments alone and yes, I mean it. I have found that when I respond to negative comments underneath my own pins I created, I have this pressure to always, always explain myself and that’s not okay. Let people believe what they want to believe. You have to learn to let things go, espeically when you receive a few mean comments.

Be the better person.

If you start to feel overwhelmed by all of the comments you’re getting like on Pinterest, just walk away from it and find something you love to do to distract you from everything. Honestly, too much social media is toxic for you. I know this because ever since I started the Kylie’s Corner & More blog, I have been on social media more than I have ever been before.

God is challenging you.

God is constantly showing me things by when I write for this blog and sharing my graphics on Pinterest. I truly believe He blessed me so much with all of this. I am thankful and I should also be thankful for the mean comments I receive from people. I am struggling with this because it is something new to me. Before this blog, I only shared the Kylie’s Corners I have written weekly for my churches Bulletin on Facebook. I will put a sample of what the Kylie’s Corners used to look like underneath this paragraph. Anyways, I would only share those with my “friends” on Facebook. I wouldn’t get any mean comments from people about my writings. I would also write each Kylie’s Corner in a journal first and then type them when I sent them in to be in the Bulletin. Those were the good ole days! I also remember having the goal of wanting to lead the entire world to God because we truly need Him more than ever. I still believe this and it’s still so crazy that the Kylie’s Corner & More blog has been touching so many people around the world. I believe that is why God is literally throwing people my way who need Him, but they end up saying something negative. I can see God saying, “Kylie, remember your goal you had?? It’s happening right now and you will be leading so many people to Me, and you don’t even know it yet.”

From the very beginning, the two topics I have been so passionate about are knowing your worth and of course, how beauty is found on the inside. So here is one of the Kylie’s Corners about those two topics:

I would also add my own backgrounds to it when I would post them to Facebook. When I first started writing the Kylie’s Corners for the Bulletin, I used to not include a song that correlates with the topic until I began to find the meanings behind a song and Christian music will always hold a special place in my heart.

Focus more on the people who love and support you.

This is the last piece of advise I’m going to give you. When you give those people who want to see you grow and support you no matter what, more attention than you do the mean comments you receive from other people, you will have more peace in your life. You will feel so loved and appreciated. I for real receive the most sweetest comments from y’all here on the Kylie’s Corner & More blog in the comment sections of each post. I am so thankful for this positive environment we have created on here and I have always wanted it to be a place where we can get away from everything that is happening in the world for a little bit. I wanted my Pinterest comment section to have the same vibes, but some people don’t understand, and that’s okay.

For now, I will be only commenting back to y’all on here in the comment section, so if you are on Pinterest reading this, if you want to make a comment, I encourage you to do so in the comment section of this blog post. That will be only way I will be commenting back to y’all. Lastly, I want to thank all of you for the sweet comments and for being amazing. Thank you for constantly reading each blog post every week and making the Kylie’s Corner & More blog a positive environment to be in so thank you. I appreciate every one of you.

  1. Pray and stay in the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of the Lord! Haters are gonna hate, but some people just don’t know.. pray for discernment to help those people.

“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”

  2. Kylie stay strong in your faith and your desire to spread Gods love never let these negative comments put a damper on your mission. Hopefully you will touch someone’s heart and turn them to know his blessings. 😘

    1. Aw, thank you so much Gwen! I really needed to hear that and the negative comments won’t ever take me down because I know that those people who say those things haven’t found God yet. I do pray for them that soon they will come to know God’s love. I hope so too and that has always been my goal when I write.✨💗

  3. You’re right that you can’t please everyone, especially not if you’re glorifying God with your life! Just remember the last beatitude–“Blessed are those who are persecuted for my name’s sake.” 🙂
