It’s so crazy how we have all of these hopes and dreams, but once God tells us it is time, we don’t want to move out of our comfort zones. Don’t worry, I’m the same way; however, nothing ever grows in comfort zones.

We have to start expecting the unexpected because let’s face it – nothing ever goes as planned like it does in our minds. I know, we tend to want to be in control of every little thing and you want to make your own choices for once.

You may do what you want and not what God has asked you to do.

You might not want to place every little thing in Gods’ hands because you want to at least feel like you have some control over your life.

You don’t want to surrender it all to God.

Am I right?? But, what if God gives you something even better? What if it is the blessing you have been looking for?

Would you make that decision to have God be the One in control instead of you?

I would and I’m still learning to listen to God every single time I make a decision in my life. When you do this, He will place something in your life so unexpectedly and it will become a blessing to you. This has happened so many times to me and it’s so crazy how God works. He somehow places something in my heart that I didn’t even have a plan for and He tells me to go do it, and I do. I go full on head deep when He gives me another “gift” and I’m thankful for each one of them. Has that ever happened to you where God tells you what to do and it’s something that you didnt even expect on doing??

I am probably not the only one that does this, but I have some secret boards on Pinterest where I pin my dreams for the future to remind me where I want to be and the person I want to become. I want to be the best version of myself and just by thinking about all of my dreams makes me so happy!

We do need to surrender our dreams and put each one at Gods’ feet, and leave them there. God knows what we want in life just by looking in our hearts and sometimes He wants us to wait because there are certain steps we have to take in order to get there. Everything is worth the wait, trust me.

Lastly, you shouldn’t be so hard on yourself when things don’t go your way because there is always, always a reason for why God does things a certain way. It’s okay to not be in control of every aspect of your life, be spontaneous and start accepting things for how they are!

When you find the time, please listen to “Control” by For King And Country.

“You asked me to let go, but I thought I knew better. Afraid of surrender and what I don’t know. I’ve always had a plan, but now I’m so weary and I can’t see clearly, forgot who I am. So won’t You make my eyes Your eyes, my ears Your ears, my tears Your tears, and won’t You make my hands Your hands, my feet Your feet, my dreams Your dreams. I give up control.”

if you are still reading this, I want to tell all of you that you do matter and there are people who love you. If you need someone to talk to, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me and you can contact me through this page. You matter.
