So far, Romans 1:16 has played a huge part in this new journey and there is a reason as to why I have chosen this Bible verse!

On Monday, June 24, 2019, I posted the announcement on the @kyliescornerandmore Instagram about how something will be coming soon and Romans 1:16 was featured on it.

Romans 1:16 was a hint for y’all! Romans 1:16 is all about not being ashamed of our faith and that we’re not afraid to say, “yes. I believe in Jesus Christ!” and shout it to the entire world. When I named the Live Your Faith online store, I wanted us to have something where we feel confident to show other people that we believe in God with just by wearing a inspirational shirt. Y’all, the clothes we wear always tells a story about us and it’s so simple for us to put on a shirt that has a bible verse on it or a simple saying such as, “Let Your Light Shine” on the shirt.

I have chosen Romans 1:16 for a reason and the meaning behind Live Your Faith means so much to me.

I’ll be telling y’all little stories about scenarios that I have encountered over the years about not being ashamed of my faith.

Once I was in High School, I started wearing those Cherished Girls T-shirts that have Bible verses on them. I loved wearing them to school because it made me feel confident and it also helped me get through each day.

In High School, believing in Jesus wasn’t a “hot topic” and hardly no one would talk about it. Maybe because people wanted to be cool and to fit in.

I’m still proud of myself for this… I would be that girl who would literally voice my opinions about counterarguments like, abortion – I was such a quiet girl, but I still managed to speak up for what I believe in!

I was even that girl who would bring my Bible to school and read it in the library. I remember at one point there was something that I disagreed with and I had to use my voice, even though I was afraid. In High School, there were a few girls in particular who were so mean to people including me. I couldn’t take it any longer and I don’t remember exactly what I said, but I remember asking my teacher if I could go to the library – I so needed to get out of all of the negativity that was coming from inside that classroom. Thank God my teacher at the time let me and read my Bible in the Library with tears in my eyes. To this day, I still pray for those girls that they treat others so much better.

I’m not telling all of you this to feel bad for me – these situations are from my life and each one has taught me to not be ashamed of my faith.

I would also get questions about being Catholic like, about why we do certain things and so on. I wasn’t afraid to answer them because being Catholic is a part of me. I do want to say that it doesn’t matter what religion you are; we were all created by the same God who gave us life – He all died for us. We were all created to lead others to God and we do need Him more than ever in this world. We also need so much kindness and love, but we are uncapable of doing that if we don’t love God first.

We were all created to live our faith. We need to surround ourselves with people who aren’t ashamed to speak up for what they believe in. I know that society doesn’t teach us that it’s acceptable to tell people about how good God is and instead, society wants us to have so many standards along with being someone we’re not. We shouldn’t have this feeling where we second guess ourselves about sharing our faith with others and thinking, “What if people disagree with what I have to say? What if I get rejected? What if I get abandoned because of my beliefs?” The list can go on. You know what, Jesus went through something similar where He was beaten to death and He was mocked for claiming He was “the King.” He took that fall for us and He still did it for those who would reject Him.

We all need to come together to tell the world about God and that’s why we shouldn’t be ashamed of our faith. That’s also why Live Your Faith exists – I hope the designs I created helps you to not be ashamed to Live Your Faith.

I love y’all so much and we have to stick together. When every single one of us tells others about our faith, it will change the world one day at a time.

When you find the time, please listen to “Unashamed of You” by Chris August.

“I will sing about Your love, I will shout it to the sky. I will tell of what You’ve done, when the people ask me why I live my life this way. I’ll say that I am unashamed of The gospel, the cross, the good news for the lost, the blood that spilled down Calvary’s Hill, for what Your grace did, and what Your grace does. Oh, I am unashamed of Your name, Jesus.”

Have you read all four of my blog posts this week? Yes, you have read that right! There was three other blog posts that went up this week and I encourage y’all to read them!
