This is a topic that society doesn’t realize, especially when it comes to television shows. Today, I’m going to talk to y’all about how it is so important to know our worth and what we deserve.
I honestly love writing about how much we’re worth to God and that we shouldn’t ever settle for anything less. I remember going to one of the youth conferences with the youth group at my church (back when I was still in High School) and there was a keynote speaker named, Sarah Swafford, she talked about relationships and how it is important to not use anyone. I will make sure to put one of her speeches at the end of this post! Anyways, I learned about how it is so important for us girls to know how much we’re worth and by going to those youth conferences every summer, I learned that we need to keep our standards high and God will eventually lead us to who we have always been meant to be with – He has created someone just for us way before we were born.
I also had to learn how much I’m worth in God’s eyes and I believe He taught me by letting me go through so many situations in my past. Some were painful for me to realize like, I had a toxic dad and he didn’t treat my mom right at all. They would constantly fight in front of me when I was a child and that is just one example as to how I found my worth in God. I knew from the beginning that I didn’t want to be with someone who would treat me so horrible. I’m actually thankful for everything I went through and saw in my past because it made me who I am today.
I also realized something else about our worth. Does anyone watch the Bachelorette?? I know the season ended last week and most people do watch this show. For those who don’t know what it is about, there is one lady in the Bachelorette who is there to find love in the midst of many guys. The lady chooses the guys to go on dates with and at the end of every episode, there is a rose ceremony.
I remember when I was younger watching this with my mom and I would say that “if someone gets a rose, they are happy; if they don’t, they cry.” There is so much drama on that show and I don’t think it was like that back then.
Believe it or not, I don’t care to watch the Bachelorette/Bachelor anymore – the last time I watched it was during Arie’s season. Yep, you read that correctly!
I realized that the show is wrong in so many ways. First off, the men are fighting for only one girl and she has to eventually break up with all of them at the end of it except for one guy. Just the thought of that, is sickening. It shouldn’t have to be like that and the show isn’t reality at all!

We shouldn’t have to measure up to other people who want the same person.
Sorry to break it to ya, but the Bachelor/Bachelorette isn’t the place to find real true love.
It’s not the place for you to know how much you’re worth to God.
Ladies, we must know our worth before we ever start dating someone.
Don’t ever settle for less than what you deserve.
God has someone in mind only for you and there’s something about that, that make it so beautiful.
Please keep your standards high no matter what, it will be so worth it in the end!
If you’re still waiting for someone to come along, please don’t be discouraged. God hasn’t forgotten about you and remember, His timing is always perfect!
You’re worth so much to God and we should look at God for our worth instead of finding it in something else.

Ladies, watch this video – it’s so worth it!
Men, this one is for you!

Never watched one episode (that I can remember). I am currently waiting for my special someone to come along. Some people think I’m crazy because my standards are high, but I know God has a plan! 💕

You’re not missing out on any of it, trust me! God’s timing is always perfect and I have been told that we should start praying for our future spouses even before we meet them. I don’t think that’s crazy at all, it will be so worth it in the end when God gave you more than you have asked for! Yes, He does and I know He has someone just for you.✨💗

I pray for him all the time. I also have a list of things I would like in a husband (it’s not set in stone!) and I pray about that was well. I also have a journal that I write Dear Future Husband letters to about my day. I hope to give them to him as a wedding gift 💕☺️
