Learning to let go is difficult to do.
It’s even difficult for me to do, especially when I try to protect someone from getting hurt.
Letting things go is hard.
I have such a caring heart and sometimes having that only makes things worse.
All I want is to help people, but God has taught me that I can’t help someone who doesn’t want it – they have to want to help themselves.
Letting every little thing that someone does affect you to the point it messes with your mental health is when you need to realize you need to simply walk away. Let it go. It’s hard… I know!
This is when you need to start praying and giving it all to God. What someone chooses to do isn’t yours to carry. We all have different battles we face every single day. You have your own battles to face and you need to focus on conquering them instead of focusing on someone else’s.
We all go through something that makes us stray away from God. I’m a true believer that during our most darkest times, we find God and He is the one who saves us from whatever is trying to mess with our soul.
When you let go of the things that are happening around you and focus on only what you can control, you have so much peace and your mental health will begin to improve.
I recently had to let go and let God do His thing because the things around me, the things that were out of my control, were hurting me. Once I finally let go and started focusing on myself and mental health, I felt so much better.
I didn’t realize how much these things around me were getting to me and they weren’t even mind to handle.
Having a caring heart and just trying to save someone from getting hurt are both my weaknesses. I want to do everything that I can to help someone and to lead them into the right direction to God. The most hardest thing I have learned is that I can’t control what someone else does and I’m also unable to see what an individual is going through on the inside. We all don’t have that ability to know exactly what someone is battling with internally. I wish we could and maybe we would all be understanding towards one another and treat every single person with kindness because we know what each person is going through on the inside. God didn’t create us like that.
He created us to where we wouldn’t be able to see what someone is going through on the inside. He created us that way so we would have patience, kindness, love towards one another, wisdom, and a forgiving heart.
That is why having beauty on the inside is what really matters the most instead of what you look like on the outside of your body.
Learning to let go and let God take over is honestly the most hardest thing to do, but we need to trust Him that He will take care of it because He does know what each of us are going through.
We need to have faith that God will take care of whatever it is and He will keep us safe. That is what letting go and letting God is all about – having faith in Him.
“You’ve done all that you can do. Let go and let God handle it from here.”
When you find the time, please listen to “Truth Be Told” by Matthew West.
“Lie number one you’re supposed to have it all together
And when they ask how you’re doing
Just smile and tell them, “Never better”
Lie number 2 everybody’s life is perfect except yours
So keep your messes and your wounds
And your secrets safe with you behind closed doors
Truth be told
The truth is rarely told, nowI say I’m fine, yeah I’m fine oh I’m fine, hey I’m fine but I’m not
And when it’s out of control I say it’s under control but it’s not
And you know it
I don’t know why it’s so hard to admit it
When being honest is the only way to fix it
There’s no failure, no fall
There’s no sin you don’t already know
So let the truth be told”
Starting on August 17, 2020, we will be starting the Broken Crayons Still Color Devotional on the Bible App and it’s a 5 day plan! I will be posting a blog post for each of the 5 days every morning here! Side note: I know the page is blank when you click on the link and that’s because I haven’t posted anything on there yet!
I added a new page to this blog and I encourage all of you to check it out! For those of you who are new here, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in December of 2019. I have been documenting everything that I have been through and experienced – from discussing my symptoms before I knew what was wrong, all the way to what I am doing now to help my body. My goal is to balance my hormones naturally without taking birth control. I want to give other women with PCOS hope that birth control isn’t the only option. All of the details about My PCOS journey Pinterest board can be found here.
